Dr. Dorociak continues his implant training by taking a five-month intensive course in Miami. “Bringing dental implants into my practice will be a wonderful way to serve my patients,” remarks Dr. Mike, as he also learns new techniques to help patients relax.
Of all things, the course is being held in Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine’s old recording studio. At one point when the course ran over, he had to text his wife and say he was late due to a Conga line forming to the song “Turn the Beat Around.”
Of course a visit to Miami wouldn’t be complete without some Cuban food as Dr. Dorociak and his family like to visit the famous Versailles in Little Havana.

Dr. Dorociak went to visit his daughter Jackie at the University of Notre Dame where she invited him to sit in her organic chemistry class long regarded as the most challenging class on campus. As he sat in the back of the room, Dr. Mike noticed a student doing a crossword puzzle, another reading a novel, and a third one texting on the phone. It is no wonder why his daughter likes to sit up front. When asked how he enjoyed it, Dr. Mike jokingly responded, “I was even invited to a party on campus!”
Dr. Rella Christensen and her microbiological team visited the office in Sarasota. Cutting-edge research on dental cavities was conducted using patients selected and treated by Dr. Dorociak. His team worked closely with the researchers over two intensive days. They were proud to have been chosen for this distinguished honor.
Dr. Mike traveled cross country to Ashland, Oregon to visit his friend and NY Times best-selling author Neale Donald Walsch. Author of the “Conversation with God” series, Neale offered his wisdom and insights. It is information that is life changing not just for the individual but for the world.

World-famous artist and illustrator Nick Cardy of “Superman” and “Wonder Woman” fame shares a moment after a dental visit. Dr. Mike tries to impress Mr. Cardy by telling him he learned how to draw Fred Flinstone from the back of a cereal box.
